Sheefra Brisbin
Founder, President
Sheefra Brisbin is an award winning environmentalist and the Founding President of Greenbridge Group.
Sheefra gained a uniquely balanced perspective on environmental management having begun her career in communications - first for the Petroleum Association for Conservation of the Canadian Environment (PACE) and then for the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute (CPPI). From CPPI, she was recruited by the Federal Minister of the Environment to serve as Special Assistant, Conservation & Protection Policy - advising on issues such as Climate Change.
Sheefra’s inside knowledge of the federal government was expanded through other senior advisory roles to the Minister of Industry Canada and the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada.
To broaden her understanding of media/communications Sheefra joined a private sector video/film organization as Vice-President. She also gained direct media experience in the Office of the Publisher of the Ottawa Sun Corporation before founding Greenbridge Group Consulting.
In 2014, Sheefra was invited by Nature Canada to become a Founding Woman for Nature (a network of 100 powerful and influential women recognized for their passion for connecting Canadians to nature).
In 2014, Sheefra was appointed to the Board of Directors of Nature Canada - one of the oldest national nature conservation charities in Canada (130,000 members + 1,000 nature organizations) and in 2015, she was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board of Nature Canada. During her 6 year tenure Sheefra visited Iqualut, Nunavut to deepen her understanding of Canada’s indigenous peoples. She studied under former US Vice-President Al Gore to obtain her Climate Change Reality certification in Manila, Philippines. She participated in COP21 the Paris Climate Summit as part of the ENGO delegation representing Canada.
Sheefra has also served on the Board of Directors of Music & Beyond and as a volunteer for numerous worthy causes and political campaigns. Sheefra is a Fellow of the Canadian Royal Geographic Society and recently became a Certified Dementia Care Provider (CDCP) to support her entrepreneurial role as Co-Founder of FCB Inc.
